Research has shown that, second to effective teachers, effective principals significantly influence students' achievement and the overall success of a school. Research has also shown that the relationship between principals and the district office can make or break principal effectiveness. Therefore, it is critical to the success of any district and its schools that the district office operate in a way that supports, not hinders, the principals. If you're a principal, do you know what type of district office you work with? If you're district office staff, do you know what type of district office you are? Come calibrate!!
