This presentation will explore the impact of persistent racial microinsults, microinvalidations, and microassaults on Black, Brown, and Indigenous leaders, teachers, and students. First, participants will engage with data to deepen their understanding of how these racial microaggressions result in self-doubt and exhaustion. Racial battle fatigue data will also be examined to help us understand the psychological stress responses resulting in isolation, fatigue, and sleeplessness. Participants will be introduced to and engage with protocols and strategies to directly address racial microaggressions and combat fatigue.
