2022 ACSA Leadership Summit

This Presentation is geared towards School Administrators who want to increase their knowledge about special education law, the IEP process, and how to  students with disabilities (SWD),  their families and their staff (Special Ed and General Ed) in a way that ensures that SWDs are treated equitably, and have equal access to academic and non academic activities on their campuses.  This presentation will provide a basic understanding of special education law as it relates to the Administrator's role, and the IEP process (LRE, FAPE, etc) to help Site Admin develop the special education knowledge and leadership skills required to support the special education programs on their campus. The presentation will prove the participants with  a list research based inclusive practices, strategies  and resources that they can begin implementing immediately,  At the end of this presentation Administrators will leave feeling like they have additional resources, and knowledge to help them better support and lead their staff towards a more equitable and inclusive campuses and build teacher and staff efficacy in the area of educating students with disabilities.
