The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is committed to equity, inclusion, and access to high-level rigorous learning opportunities for ALL students.  This interactive session will provide examples of activities used by WASC Commissioners to reflect and examine their role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in accredited schools.  DEI strategies including extensive dialogue, personal journey sharing, and in-depth readings utilizing the WASC Equity Statement as the driver for improved student outcomes via accreditation will be presented. In addition, refinements to streamline the accreditation process, the use of quantitative and qualitative data, and the emphasis of targeted trainings and personalized support to impact the learning and well-being for ALL students in an equity-centered environment will be highlighted; this will include self-study report examples of equitable practices.
