My background and educational knowledge comes from working in two of the largest school districts in California, Fresno and San Diego Unified. My expertise includes maximizing educational and district consistencies, driving the overall performance of staff and students, creating and implementing efficient systems and programs through a lens of equity, academic consultation, and building positive relationships. The past 4.5 years in San Diego Unified, I have spent leading our Online Learning Department and or Online Learning Independent Study school, iHigh Virtual Academy. In collaboration with other district stakeholders, creating opportunities for secondary students across our district to recover credits and/or accelerate in their course work though online learning, while supporting students K-12 who choose virtual learning as their primary modality for learning at iHigh Virtual Academy.
